Lord help the rider if it stumbles while in the short wheel base mode because clearly the device isn't self balancing like the Segway is.

Notice that it's using a gen1 midnight blue CS & handlebar?

And there's a i-170 wheel in the background.

Yep, I think it's a complete 180 under it.

I think the point here is not self balance or not, it's the ability for a person with little to no trunk strength to get up to eye level and not take up a lot of space.

I don't see it as a "let her rip" all terrain Segway.

Yes, it is possible. Those blue boxes on the front could be the power controlers for the lift & rear wheel extender. But it doesn't look like blinky is lit up.

That was put up several months ago.
