Hi
We use our segs for EMS and have medical bags from Segway of Ut in the Givi bags.
What would be good for us would be bags that would hold the medical equipment and defib that attach to the cargo plates (or other mounts) that would be able to totaly be removed from the Segway.
Thanks

Intereresting. Foarm already makes Defibrillator bag systems for Physio Control,
Zoll and Phillips. I've designed several of those. Which models of Defibs do you use with your Segs?

The design I would like for a Side cargo case is something close to the Givi case but shorter, with a Zip 3/4 around the top of the case. Height would be about half of the givi case, with padded velcro dividers inside.

Default Different Zipper Design for Gen 2 Handlebar Bag

The zippers are hard to use. If you have a disability, it can be close to impossible to operate without assistance.

At least this has been my experience with the Segs4Vets program.

Jeré, this can be fixed by removing the rubber grips w/ a pair of pliers. Once the rubber grips are removed, the zipper is just your standard zipper setup to which you can add a pull by bending the tab. You can purchase zipper pulls from most outdoor stores or the Internet.
Tip aquired from Jeff Backes at SegFesT 08': Thanks Jeff!!!

Aha! Thank you! My next project!

I really struggle with that zipper under the best of circumstances. I think it would be hard for anyone, but with reduced sensation in the hands, it's extra difficult. Add in gloves ---

In dry weather, I usually leave them open a bit, and I can get a finger in on both sides and tug.

Obviously, we can't have infinite voltage, or the universe would tear itself to shreds, and we wouldn't be discussing Segways.

This is exactly what I do and it works well. I always leave my bag open a bit for this very reason.

Hey Everyone (even you darth),

I still have LOTS of zipper pulls left. If you pay for shipping I'll be happy to send you some. There are 4 pulls per gen2 bag, postage is probably $1.50 + another buck for the padded bag to mail them in. If you want a set send me a PM and I'll give you my paypal account info.

I've used his zipper pulls. They work like a charm. Thanks again.

I'd stop well short of saying it "works well". It reduces it from "major struggle" to "major annoyance". And in wet weather, I have to finish off with "major struggle".
