I can only start and turn off with the info key close to the center counsel... When I place the info key in its holder the only thing showing, is the time --- NO bars, happy face, etc ... When the key is close to the center counsel it operates normally... This is with both info keys... So a loose antenna or a bad board..???

So "operates normally" means that it does have full battery bars, happy face (not sad face), distance, etc.?

If so, and if you are confident about the strength of the new batteries in both infokeys ......

....then there's no way to answer your question, without taking it apart.

Oh, and can we presume that you have followed the troubleshooting procedures in the Reference Manual? [Usually around pages 122 and 128]

Also, how does the infokey "link" symbol perform?

And does the Security function operate properly?

(Just making sure to cover all of the bases)

And I'm betting that the problem was bad replacement batteries for the infokeys.
