Nothing to do with Segways but a very interesting look at the birth of a Nation.

UAE turns 36 in December and this 5 picture pictoral shows the growth of Dubai over that time. However, the last 7 years provide the most vivid example of the growth.

Oh, wait, I can make it Segway related

. If you look at the last picture I've glid (glode?) from just to the left of Palm Jumeirah (middle Palm) to Palm Deira (right side Palm) and many spots in between. By car, during rush hour that trek will take you a minimum of 3+ hours (it is under 50Km)...on a Segway, under 3 hours. You can't go all the way on one charge but it is close, very close.
