Segway ninebot zing c20 charging and power issues
Hello,
I am new to the Segway community and I appreciate any help or assistance that you can provide. I bought my son a ninebot c20 almost a year ago and I am having charging issues and overall power issues in regards to the scooter actually running. I've bench tested the battery and the charger and the charging port at the ends of the black and red wires that plug into the control board. Battery bench tests at 19.2 volts, charger shows 24.8 volts, and when the charger is plugged into ninebot, the terminal ends of the disconnected red and black wires that plug into the control board show 25 volts. When the red and black wires are plugged into the control board, I tested the plug-in site for the battery and it reads 5 volts. So, obviously it is not charging. The ninebot will turn on with the battery at 19.2 volts, and the scooter will move forward for about 30 ft and then shut off. The scooter runs at about 1 to 2 miles per hour for about 30 ft and then shuts off. I contacted Segway and they want me to send the scooter in for warranty work. I haven't checked shipping cost but it'll probably cost me more in shipping for what the scooters worth. Hoping somebody has an idea and some way that I can DIY fix this scooter. I'm not a scooter repair technician but I am a little handy and my thought is that it is the control board causing issues. TIA |
