modified sine wave inverters
I have two x2s and want to charge them via a 12 vdc battery and inverter... is there a thread discussion on modified sine wave vs. pure sine wave inverters for charging with 12vdc power source? thanks t

There was a discussion a long time ago.
As I recall; Modified Sine wave is fine ( and cheaper ) than pure sine wave. You need an over-rated unit to allow for start up surge. If you want to charge several units, connect them one at a time, to avoid multiple surge requirements. Good Luck |

I was thinking of designing a 12v powered segway charger a few weeks ago but didn't bother because I thought there would be no market for one....Does anyone think there is a need for one...
I could have a prototype working in an hour or so... probably cost $200 or so in the end from my calcs it would draw about 5-5 amps..so not too much... thoughts anyone???? |
