Nice! Glad to hear you were able to make it work! Looks like you have quite the setup there

Well done! What is actually failing in the chargers, have you found a pattern or is it a different fault in each one?

My tech fixed the i2 circuit board with an blink of an eye, I didn't catch what he did, however I believe the mosfet blew up.

the i170 CSB is fixed by replacing the parts with arrow, you can see the blew cooked resistor before repair

I really can't catch any pattern as yet, we've only repair 3 CSB and 1 UI charging unit

however will keep you guys posted on any other repair,
we don't have any support in Taiwan as the importer disappear back in 2007 and no other company take up the challenge since.

BTW, I also rebuild Ni-Mh and Lithium battery, (cut open with laser)
Ni-Mh is a pain as most are badly corroded therefore we manufacturing the new boards,

next challenge is to fix i170 handlebar electronic, as I have 2 non working units all point to faulty handlebar, I have cut open the heat shrink connecting to the top of the handlebar, and could not fine any fault, had check all the connections on the Elcon connector and the curly cable is working fine.

so the fault is inside the handlebar itself and it must be the circuit board inside is faulty, I plan to laser cut open the handlebar to access the board, so it will be put together tidier (glue together)

Thank you Jason, You are the legend, thanks for the tip on Laser cutting, I laser cut the battery now (sent to laser cutter), it really save a lot of time and much less damage to the board inside.

we, the Segway club in Taiwan, survive on scrap parts, and try everything to get Segways on the road as parts are not easy access from this part of the world.
