Default P series rentals

I know the concern here over rentals and wonder what the people who have seen the P series feel about them being used for rentals. I figure the smaller price will be more attractive to rental store owners, so we will probably see more P than I segs being rented. Is the size difference enough to make the P less intimidating decreasing the chance of a ban?

I think the 'p' series is a heck of a lot less intimidating. Bearing that, I think it'll still cause many of the same problems that the 'i' series does when rented improperly. But it will probably cause less of a fuss, because it does look much smaller.

it's not really about "intimidating".

a ban can and will happen if rental places do not work with the city to balance the needs and safety of the city with the business practices of the rental company, the size of the unit doesn't really matter.

rental places -can- and have worked with cities and it's worked out fine.

cheers,
pt

Is this person Segway's rental liaison? If so, I would like to get her in touch with these folks here in Park City that are planning on offering rentals.

pt-

Thanks for the info. I emailed Monique a few minutes ago, and provided her with contact information for the person heading up the Segway rental project here. That person indicated to me the other day that they were considering partnering up with a ski rental shop to provide the renals! That definitely did not sound good to me. I just hope Segway contacts these people, and a better strategy is developed for rentals.

I just hope they still give me a demo
