Apple history by Steve Wozniak
Since there are several Apple fans active at this forum, I thought it wouldn't harm to place this info here in the off-topic thread.
I found it on a dutch mac-related website, I'm still downloading it myself but apperantly it's a nice video. I translated the dutch text: On Google video a video apeared from computerhistory.org, the video contains an extensive presentation from Steve Wozniak, co-founder of apple in the 70s. Wozniak (Woz) tells various anekdotes and the history from the early years of the apple computer, the apple II and the apple III. A long but funny video-presentation. Watch the video at Google Video: Directe download link (462 MB): http://vp.video.google.com/videodown...80788960771638 Kind regards, Florin The Gliding Dutchman |

My earliest programming efforts (as an end-user) were on an Apple II. Boy, those were the days. The whole field has passed me by.

I remember working at GTE in the early 80's and one guy had gone out and bought an Apple and one guy had an IBM PC - and they worked in the same department.
Those were the days when you went out and bought a computer, because your employer did not know what to do with them..... Then my days at IBM when we were only to use the PC as dumb terminals.... Ah the corporate world, glad I am not in it any more... Except for the health, life insurance, 401K, stock options, flex health plans, vacation and sic time and all those other benefits.... Maybe I should reconsider that statement! Will W Hopper DCSEG Member SEG America The Premier Gliding Organization! OK I know that the WOZ CUP was a TIE! After having watched the speech in it's entirety, it's quite enjoyable. Although it seems more of an autobiography than a retelling of the silicon valley story. Funny and insightful nonetheless.
Thanks for posting it Florin! -Sal ___________ I considered atheism, but there were too few holidays Segway Chat Member since July 2003 Segway Owner since August 2003 |

One of my most prized possessions is my name badge from the first SegFest that is autographed on the back by two people: Kamen and Woz.

I'll have to get something signed by WOZ at the FesT this year. (if he isn't already sick of signing his autograph already)
