I'm with Karl (in a way) on this one... When Unity08 determines its platform, I'll consider it.
As a country I've watched us select presidents based on media presentation, on carefully scripted 30 second sound bites, only to regret it greatly within 4 to 8 years. I have no intention of throwing my weight behind something that I know nothing about, and something whose tenants I might very well disprove of, when it all comes out in the wash. Bloomberg is a question mark, of course. They were discussing him this morning on the Chris Matthews show. He's a man who wouldn't join the race just to force a change in the other two parties, but a man who would join it to win. Pam |

Focus on the fact that when you join Unity08 YOU get to help establish the platform, YOU get to help select the candidate, YOU get to set the course. So do your research on what Unity08 stands for and think about joining so YOU can help shape our future. Steven |

Wow! I'm often disappointed by Wednesday! I should imagine that regardless of the odds, the herculean task of running for president requires that you believe you can win. Being in the race to force issues is not a high enough goal to get in to that race. We all know that politicians lie, and will say almost anything to get elected. The Candidates know that as well. If a 3rd party candidate feels they can control the debate, because they cannot win, it may reveal parts of the other candidates they would like to keep under wraps, but regardless of how a candidate "moves to the center, or the right or left" for the election, they always return to who they are. It always surprises me when the electorate are surprised when this happens. I beleive that Solons do get corrupted and eventually go along to get along, but that people do not change their core beliefs. Selling out is common. True growth is not so common.
