Of course, if your alternator charged while gliding, you glide distance would be drastically reduced. (this ain't a perpetual motion machine)
Although I no longer golf, a golf caddy attachment would be a HUGE seller. (I'm sure this has already been said numerous times, but bears repeating) |

I must be of the wrong generation. All this horn and radio business. Apparently nobody anymore appreciates the sounds of nature, even city noises tell you where you are and help you feel one with your surroundings. Are we so rottenly bored that we must be entertained at every moment. In my youth, many hundreds of years ago, we used to whistle, sing, recite, etc. entertaining ourselves. When I'm in the grocery and need to pass someone I just say "Beep, beep" or "Excuse me" in a very friendly voice. People never fail to smile, look around and let me pass. What's with this friendly sounding horn? Don't people communicate anymore? Just honk, honk, get out of my way? Grandpa Ken |

Good point. Granted I would rather have someone politely say "Excuse me" instead of chime their horn when passing on a Seg, but with the pedestrian rights orgs and all sorts of things, it might be needed.

I'm about to buy an aluminum bifold ramp - the kind for ATVs and such, for my truck ($92 at Lowe's). However, it did occur to me that a platform mounted to the trailer hitch receiver, that could be raised and lowered by either crank or dc motor (hooked into truck wires), would be a really great thing. I've seen these for wheelchairs. I'll need to search to see how small I can get one.

The front basket that you can purchase with the Seg has two water bottle holders.

How much is the front basket you can buy from Segway?

Okay, okay! Drop the horn. I'll just say 'Segway passing on your left'. Still want a light though.
