Default Heading Across the Country, wish me luck

It's that time of year again, when my band packs all of it's stuff into a black Ford van and heads across the country! I'll have to put my Segway keys on the shelf this month, which is a shame in such beautiful weather. This year we're heading from New York City, out to California and the NorthWest and then home again, in a little less than a month. If you are in one of these cities, and want to see some music (read: The Cars, Neil Young, VU style) come see the band, tourdates are listed below. Also, we accept donations of cookies...

RANA May 2005 Tour

may 11-cleveland, OH (wilbert's)
may 12- urbana, IL (canopy club)
may 13- ames, IA (people's bar and grill)
may 14- laramie, WY (buckhorn inn)
may 16- crystal bay, NV (breeze nightclub)

You have some serious hustling to get between cities for the next day's gig.
Lots of luck.

What NO SegwayfesT dates? - Who is doing your booking? Well at least no July and September dates are listed yet - maybe there is still hope!

At least that way you could have some gliding time in your very busy work travel schedule! And folks always think show business is so glamorus!

I live right across the street from the Mobius here in Ashland. See you in two weeks. I'll be the guy on the Segway!

I caught up with Andrew outside the club right after his band's set. As promised, I was the guy on a Segway, which made it easy for him to find me. Andrew didn't take his Seg with him for the tour and was absolutely ready for some riding. We grabbed my spare machine and took off for a late-night tour of Ashland.

Usually when I take people out I feel compelled to shepard them carefully. In this case, there were no worries since Andrew is already a great rider. It was also cool to meet someone who knows who Robert Crumb is and could appreciate my tale giving him a demo.

Segway ownership somehow makes you a part of an informal extended family of interesting people. I maintain it's one of the greatest benefits of having a machine.

Please tell us the Robert Crumb story, I'm sure there are quite a few on this forum who knows who he is.

Did you glide Mr. Natural style?
