Seg4Vets-December 2007 presentation
Washington, DC Presentation Ceremonies to held on December 5, 2007
The Washington, DC Segs4Vets presentation ceremonies will be held on December 5, during a luncheon at the Army Navy Country Club. More than 20 members of the United States military who sustained severe injuries while serving our nation in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom will be presented with Segways, a personal transporter to improve their mobility. The Segs4Vets Presentation Ceremonies are held in Washington, DC and San Antonio, Texas. Thanks to all our benefactors and volunteers who made this such a tremendous year ! Be Big, Alan

The Gang has been arriving for the last day or so
It is great to see everyone back here in DC.
Today starts the fun, and tomorrow the festivities will be in full swing! Keep an eye out for news reports. After all the infamous Tarkus is here, and he always does something newsworthy while in town.

Special Thanks to Segway of Annapolis
Special thanks to the on-the-ground support team from Segway of Annapolis.
It's not an easy task moving dozens of Segways around, especially in DC in the snow! Dick & Kathy Segar and Will Hopper went above and beyond the call. Thanks again for all of your help!!!! |

Quote:
Next time bring one, and we will have a complete Segvator product line working demonstration and display. Thanks it was great fun to be a part of the program and all the events of the last couple of months, both here at home and in San Antonio.

My shots are not too good
But here are two that I was able to get.
One training a guy in the garage, and one at the ceremony. Here is a link to the Pentagon Channel that covered the event The segment is the "Around the Services December 6", coverage begins during the 22:00 mark. www.pentagonchannel.mil Keep an eye on the DRAFT website for photos, they were still processing the shots from San Antonio of more than a month ago.

A few more pics.
Profiles of all Segs4Vets recipients can be found at www.Segs4Vets.org. Again it's a humbling experience to be involved with all these fine American Heroes and I am thankful for all the friends made. Be Big, Alan
