Anyone seen this one?
I've never seen this one before:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/200737470348 Ebay user name indicates Segway of New Mexico: http://stores.ebay.com/Segway-New-Me...id=p4340.l2563 I find it hard to believe it would be legal or authorized for them to sell this knockoff device in the US. I do not see it on their website: http://segwaynm.com/shop/index.php |

I wonder if their ebay account has been hacked. Here's the same photo:

On the other hand, I don't see actual Segways on their website, either. Tours, apparel, and trailers, yes. But click on Segways, and you're told:
No products found.

"Segway New Mexico" is NOT an authorized Segway dealer, per Segway, Inc. I got ripped-off by Shawn (owner) and Segway was unable to help. Definitely a "business" to AVOID.

I thought the whole point of a knock off is that they are cheaper. That auction is not that much less than a real segway.
I wonder what the MSRP is. I know that many people seem to feel that Segways are overpriced, in that they can be made and sold for less money than we see in their MSRP. If the knockoffs cost nearly the same, then if nothing else, it justifies the current price...

Based on the prices we have seen for other Seg knock-offs built in China, I think that is likely. |
