Segway in Europe

I am writing to introduce the European connection to Segway Chat.
We initially tested the Segway HT in February and immediately saw the potential for this amazing new concept, and as from March we have been importing Segway into the UK.
We have been getting the Segway exposed in the UK media, and so far it has appeared in national newspapers and on national TV. Clearly the knowledge of Segway in the UK and Europe does not match that in the US, but we are doing our best to change all that.
We have taken group of up to 5 Segways into the centre of London and we can report a wide variation of reaction, from educated interest, through surprise and astonishment to an utter disregard. We continue to find it staggering that, when faced with a concept and a product that people could never have seen before in their lives, some look through you as if you were not there.
We aim to keep all Segway Chat members up to speed with our activities on this side of the Atlantic. We are currently awaiting our training by Segway after which we will be the only official Segway Service Centre in Europe, and we have a large number of units in stock for sale or hire.
Any visitors to these shores who have massive wuithdrawl symptoms from their Segway can, of course, contact us and we would be delighted to arrange to get them a Segway for the duration of their stay.
