OK, here we go!
Well guys, this is it; the Cardiff Bay Segway Tour begins on Saturday 4th August 2007 at 1100 . A little bit later in the year than anticipated (about 4 months) but what the hell.
It's a 1 hour tour taking in: locks, yachts, sluices and fish passes, islands and sandbars, amazing engineering, diverse wildlife, local history, pirates and Vikings, amongst a few other bits and pieces (including of course coal and sheep). Initially, the tour is for 2 persons at a time and the tour guide will be me. If any Segway Chat members are in the Cardiff area over the weekend, give me a call on +44 (0)7853 591036 and I'll book you in for a freebie. Thanks for your best wishes all, hope to see you soon. Well done Alan & Julie
I know it's been a long trek but I'm sure you'll agree that it's all been worth it! (especially when you've made you're first million!!!) You've definately paved the way for others-I'm trying to get a Segway Tour set up on our Quay in Exeter, and I think it's going to be a long battle...so I'll be watching your space ,and proberly asking a few questions along the way. Well done! and Best of Luck -you'll have to buy a few more machines from Wayne now that will keep him V.Happy. Jeff WWW.SEGWAYSOUTHWEST.CO.UK |

Best of Luck
Great news - hope it goes really well. We're still fighting in the trenches over our side of the water to get the final green light

Tour Feedback
6 one hour tours and I'm knackered
Here's some feedback from the customers: 'these things are amazing....a unique and safe experience....fantastic experience....better than a bike....the instructor was great....the Barrage and Bay is the perfect location....add a digital pic to make it perfect....informative tour....un moyen de locomotiontres drole et comfortable....great, thanks....different from any other thing I've done' All went without a hitch, very positive feedback and the bookings are starting to come in. So, all in all I'm very pleased. On the CHA wecam you want to be looking back along the Cardiff Barrage itself (away from the little white church) to see our tour which begins below the Barrage control office (looks like a giant grey caravan on stilts); we are running 1000 - 1600 tomorrow. Thanks again to all for your positive comments and support. If anyone does want any help with council-friendly operating procedures etc, just send me a PM. Cheers, Al |

Webcam
HI guys, just had a look at the CHA webcam and to catch a glimpse of our tour, try preset 'Barrage' and toggle left slightly until you see a kiddies playground which is just to the right of the building that the cam is on. We pass the playground at about half-past the hour between 1000 and 1600. I'm the one at the front with the high-vis.
