Battery rebuild
I wanted to rebuild my nimh batteries myself with a kit from MTO battery. Has anyone every rebuilt a battery? I found only one video on YouTube and at the end the guy burnt up the controller board when he soldered the last connection. It there a certain sequence you need to follow?

He was rebuilding a lithium pack and got polarity reversed....
Nimh are much easier, just take your time, don't use metallic tools, take careful not of polarity connections...hardest part is getting the old cells out, they are fixed tight with a kind of hot glue that is very sticky!....only use a beat gun from the outside and only underside of the case, the have two non resetable thermal fuses and they are sensative.....there are photos on the net, http://forums.segwaychat.org/archive...hp/t-9106.html but if you are unsure, don't do it... |
