ES2 lock mode issue
Hello,
I just bought a ninebot ES2 (model 3). It works very well, but I think there is a bug in the lock mode. When I press the lock button with the app, the scooter correctly locks. The display however stays turned on. After 1 hour or so, the display automatically turns off and when I turn it on, voilĂ*, the scooter is unlocked, although I did not unlock it at all!! Also in the app the scooter is displayed as unlocked. Is this a known bug or it is just my unit? |

Lock mode is designed to turn off
Your ES2's Lock Mode is functioning normally.
The Lock function is a temporary deterrent to theft or unauthorised use. The KickScooter has to remain turned on to provide the locking function, which consumes battery energy. It automatically deactivates and turns off the KickScooter after about an hour or so (I think it is 75 minutes, but I am not certain). To secure your KickScooter use a cable lock passed through the spokes of the rear wheel, and wrap it around a lamp post or bike rack or bench leg (or whatever).
