Distraction is bad, in any thing you are doing. There are certain levels of distraction that some can tolerate that others cannot. This is not different than another thread on driving and phones... There are plenty of people who can do more than one thing at a time, like gliding and listening to music, as long as attention is paid to the proper perspectives...
