Question Newbie with miniLite, bluetooth issue

Just purchased a brand new Segway miniLite model #N4M160

Successfully assembled and 'activated' via the iOS app and completed the first step of the training.

Issue 1 - I'm getting a notification that there is a firmware update. I've attempted to install the update via Bluetooth several times. However, after approximately 60 seconds I get an error message saying Bluetooth has been disconnected.

Issue 2 - when I try to change the light colors I'm only able to one and not the others.

The app seems to have big issues. Any suggestions on how to fix either issue?
