I recall that early versions of the firmware, like v10, were able to support "faster than red key" turning. Probably recognised hex codes CX through FX. Of course one can set the turn rate that high now, but it's capped at BX by the firmware. We'll probably never see firmware revs 1.0 - 9.X, maybe some of those capped the top speed at hex 1E (15 mph). |

New version
Hi Everyone,
Here is the new version of my little tool. I updated some hints and added a footnote to indicate which options/settings are only working with a certain software version.

Hi florin,
I made a couple of proofreading edits. And I thought it was more appropriate to make the credit you wrote for me into a "hint", since I put in those hints....LOL |

And why would you want to do that for? As you know the PT has been regulated to stay below DOT laws and increasing speed will only open a can of worms. There are other ways to increase speed but everything you tweak has what I call a substitution effect. You can increase the radius of your wheels but your pitch angle will change and compromise safety. I feel having the PT set at max 12.5 is more than adequate for the needs and purposes and principles of the Segway PT. Just my 2 cts fwiw |

And why are we once again resurrecting 3 year old threads?

Good question. Perhaps the admin should create a directory for "old archives".
I accidentally came across this and responded |
