I used a Seg Hauler on the back of my wife's 99 Camry. It was too much weight hanging off the back.

I ended up getting a used Bruno Chariot. I added a home made wooden platform angled to match the batteries under the Segway and some ratchet straps. It works very well. Only puts about 20 lbs of weight on the hitch.

For what it's worth, I had a Segvator on the back of my Dodge 3/4 ton pickup. I think the ride was too rough and I ended up dropping the Segway on the road a few times. Usually it was pulling out of a parking lot and dropping a rear wheel off the curb. I reinforced the top retaining bars but it still happened.
The first time I tried using it on the back of my wife's Camry it dragged on the pavement hard enough to jam the lifting screw inside. Trying to free up the screw stripped something inside.

That's when I tried the SegHauler and we are back to the beginning of the story...
