I've seen instances of clearly faked feedback. It's against the TOS, but it's done. Often it'll be obvious by looking at the dates (and times) of the reviews. Or common elements (like bad spelling and grammar).

i like to buy my stuff from licensed retailers with warranty and refund policies in place, not the general public. the whole internet shopping spooks me to the point i just won't do it. but that dosent slow my wife down one second
however i gladly get my card out for online MMO's so what kind of sense does this make... none. btw any of you guys play Silkroad? if you do play SRO what server are you on? and if you don't play (good for you) because my current characters cost me over 2K usd.... free to play they call them. O'SURE
