Your 2020 HT
The most likely failed components is one or both battery packs, and/or the CSB (Control Shaft Base which contains the internal battery charger).
A friendly Gen 1 owner (with NiMH) would be able to help you test these parts. A plug-into-the-wall "Power Meter" that measures Volts/Amps/Watts passing through it to the appliance (ie The Segway HT) is also very helpful.
