It is showing the "platform fault" error. It was showing this same display when I bought it for nothing, but after a day of charging, pulling/plugging the cables, lots of key pressings, it somehow came back to life. Then I was trying to drain the batteries so I ran it for 10-15 minutes at high speed and it turned off on me.
I do have replacement handlebar/csb units on the way (original cables were shredded down to the foil). They have the elcon cables this time instead of the old ones. I'll see if that does anything. I just find it curious that I had the 'platform error' originally and somehow it started up.
I think you are most likely correct about the 'latch' issue. I have a lead on somebody who might be able to help with that area. I'll share the results when I have them.
