There is small coin battery inside the infokey.
Is this battery quite new ?
Is this a branded ( good ) battery, or a cheap ( bad ) one from the local dime shop?
How old is the i2 ?
By inference, how old are the batteries ?
All batteries perform poorly when cold, is your i2 stored in a cold garage, or in the house ?
This may help find the problem.
