Those appeared at the Australian Olympics. It is what the Hoverboys at TIQ kept saying they wanted. But none of them seem to have bought one despite their repeatedly bring them up over there as what Ginger/It should have been.
There are so many drawbacks to them as transportation devices that I don't see them ever being more than recreational. The debris they throw up would blind anyone standing nearby on anything but a totally clean pavememt.
The fururistic shape is the only thing that seperates them from hovercraft that have been around for decades.
