I am traveling from Albuquerque to Phoenix this month with my minipro. I was concerned that even if I was allowed to take it there, I would not be allowed to bring it back due to someone’s opinion. The lady at Southwest I talked to directed me to the paragraph where it states if it is a mobility device and the battery meets their requirements, there is no limit to the battery size. It may have to be gate checked. I am thinking of getting a zippered bag and lining it with cardboard. Any other ideas to help protect it? I have added the off road bumper but have not upgraded the tires yet.
