So disappointed our vacation will be over before Segway opens to help if they even can.
Some of these Segway MiniPros have been left in the warehouse too long. Their batteries have drained in storage to zero voltage and can't be charged. The charger sees the zero voltage and refuses to charge it for safety reasons. Segway Inc. can send you a new battery under warranty if you want to keep the unit.

You could also try returning it and finding a newer built unit. Open it in the store and see if it starts up. It should start up if the battery is good since they ship with a half charged battery.

Either way is a pain.
