This 2002 HT is in superb cosmetic condition and until recently ran perfectly, but was never upgraded to Li-Ion.

Now, when plugged in, the two green lights blink but even a day later the unit won't go. After charging, the batteries measure about 26/20V and 0/16V. After only 18 years they've failed - what a disappointment!

Before spending $$$ to rebuild my NiMH batteries, I'd like to ensure that the rest of this Segway is ok.

Is anyone near Oceanside CA (San Diego County, Orange County) willing to let me swap working NiMH batteries into my machine for a few minutes - to test functionality? I'll drive to you and do the test on the spot.
