It does use Lead-Acid batteries, and they swap them out with a fresh set between runs. But it is rather impressive.

This is the additional cooling they use on the main drive motors:

I haven't seen so many DC fans bolted together since visiting the PC overclocking forums.

Think they'll make it to 300 MPH?
