By way of introduction, I am an retired electronic engineer living out his retirement lake side in New Hampshire. Just shy of a decade ago, I purchased a Segway X2 SE, and today I am embarrassed to say I have gone through two sets of batteries and have a warping 5 miles accumulated on it. The first set was pure neglect as during the early time I had two total joint replacements and the segway was the last of my thoughts at that time. Once I was back to getting around, I wanted my segway as fast as possible and selected the 11 amp set. Following the sticker shock, I took very good care of this set. Even bringing the X2 down to the house during the winter.

This winter I lost my second set and while looking for a solution, is how I found this forum and the wealth of information within.
