There's a guy on YouTube that shows how to permanently solve the issue yourself. It takes a lot of work to dismantle to get to the circuit board, but it's a very, very simple fix... which I'm not sure why Ninebot doesn't do themselves? I'm at sure if I'm allowed to post links bit if you search YouTube you'll find a complete tutorial on how to permanently fix the issue (by simly adding some solder to bridge/cover a resister. I've not done it yet because I haven't had the issue, but I'll probably do it when the time comes.
