I don't know where you come up with this stuff Tom.
My first ride was in a hotel room and I couldn't get enough.

Paris Segway Tours rides past the Louvre, Notra Dame and numerous significant tourist sites and the customers don't even want to stop riding to view the monuments. They say that it's 95% Segway interest.
I agree.
My customers had the opportunity to take the machines to Thai Palace's and Ancient monuments but preffered the Bangkok Back Streets Ride.
Our little detour thru a poor area, drinking moonshine with the locals turned into the hit.
