I use this unit since August 2008.

Since 1500kms, i have an noisy gear box when i decelerate on an slope...i think it's not the elastomar to couple the gear box to the motor because i don't lose traction on high rising road.

My question:
I think dismantled the gearbox to check the oil.
I know to purge car engine oil and oil gear...but, in a segway gear box, it's Oil like the Gear box of car ? (75W80 liquid)
Or an "graphite" grease like in scooter engine ? (solidifies at low temperature to adhere to the bearings)
thank you for your advice...
Don't open the gearbox, nothing inside it is user servicable and it will never run right again after being opened. Based on your description it sounds like you have a worn elastometer. A worn elastometer won't cause you to lose traction, it will however make your unit louder.
