|
Will do!
I have to get these done as I have four i series and a p (it's the same board in the p) I am also working on a lifepo4 for gen one machines as I have already replicated the data and know how it ticks..! Just the managment side to work out now. I'll keep everyone informed.. cheers. |
:)
Hi dorrington So are you saying your using different boards or have you made your own I have an I series gen 1 i167 with the circle of death & the wrench I swapped my boards from another machine & it works fine, So it must be the boards that are down. In the uk the dealer doesn't work on these gen 1 anymore so I either need a set of boards with matching keys or get someone to reboot or re- program mine. Any one whom you could point me too for the re- programming of these boards. Cheers Russell from wales in the uk. Russell.womersley@icloud.com Thanks again anyways. :) |
I have a dead i167 too,
I don't think anything can be done, I am looking at contacting USA or Germany.. I can make battery bms baords though...😊 regards Ian |
Hi Dorrington
I am very interested in this post, specifically with regards to the YouTube video you have in which you were able to send the Segway the required info to start up, with another DC source. What I am thinking for doing is building a cheaper battery and a simple PIC controlled BMS to monitor battery voltage and temperature but send all necessary info to the Segway for it to operate. From what I saw in you videos, the "coms" to the BMS is I2C protocol? I assume the Segway sends requests to the BMS and expects a reply with battery info? Would you be willing to assist with info on the I2C requests and expected responses? -Filipe |
Hi Dorrington
Hows the BMS going. Im trying to get an old Gen 1 up and running again and the batteries are a major problem. What I am thinking for doing is building a cheaper battery and a simple PIC controlled BMS to monitor battery voltage and temperature but send all necessary info to the Segway for it to start up. How did you go about working out what info the Segway needs to start up? |
Hi Guy,
BMS is done and currently in testing. I found the data after many long hours of study and experimentation. I also have replacement nimh bms boards, they just need populating with components.. cheers and best of luck..... |
