Aliexpress Yanyang Tech Battery Review

04/19/2021 The Journey Begins

Don’t want to bombard everyone or the forum with photos so I will post those slowly.

I will work more on a review starting tomorrow 04/20.

So far so good.

Ok. Day 1 04/20/2021

I will sum up the first day by saying these batteries do not seem any different than actual Segway Batteries except for the price. Less than $500 each for the 5.2ah LiFePO4 batteries.

They are new manufacture, none of the parts look like they have ever been used.
The connector is new and has shiny silver metallic contacts that look more substantial than the Original batteries.

They connect fine and screw in just like the originals. Power up/power down and charge just like I am used to.

I took a 15 minute glide for a short test, plugged them back in to charge and they had 2 blinking green lights within a minute.

I will do a multi-mile long glide this weekend and report.

Thank you for checking in.
I will be doing a long term review on the 2 Batteries I purchased so keep watching.

So far I have nothing bad to say about the batteries. The APP on the other hand needs work.

When do you expect the IOS app to be available?

P99Guy, are you communicating with the manufacturer through Segway Chat for the benefit of the us readers?

No. My only communication is here on the forum.
Amy has contacted me through PM but those messages are posted also.

Oh now that I read that correctly...YES my only communication is posted here in the forums.

Update 04/21/2021

Nothing new to report as I have not had time to test anything.

I did manage to get the Bluetooth BMS function working but I don’t find it that useful. Once I have more time to study it maybe, or when it becomes available for Apple IOS.

Not sure what they really mean though.

1 red battery and 1 orange battery. Each battery has that but the cell locations are different.
