"Soul Patrol" From My Segway
 

Got to go and Welcome Home Taylor Hicks as Birmingham, AL celebrated his making it to the Top 3 on American Idol. Birmingham had a parade and the mayor and council gave him a key to the city, saying 3rd times the charm for Birmingham (Remember Bo Bice and Rueben Studdard?)

I rode to the gathering in our downtown at City Hall from Children's Hospital, where I work (1 mile) and had people taking pictures of me on the Segway before taylor arrived and sang a song.

I must say the Segway put me head and shoulders above most of the crowd and I had a great view. Many of the Police officers there were very interested and wanted to try it out, though wasn't a good time for a demo.

Watch on Tuesday, you may see me in the background as he is given the key to the city!
