Segway Battery Test Harness?

The attached image shows an email sent to Segway dealers in 2010 about a battery test harness. Has anyone had any experience with it before? Is it still available to purchase?

Why not just touch the multimeter leads to the battery? This connector only reads voltage from two pins.
