Replacement MiniPro Battery - Where to Find?
 

Hello, first post on this forum. MiniPro owner, ~500 miles logged.

Battery stopped accepting charge about 3 months ago. I have been scouring the net trying to find a replacement. My goto site, more4mini.com have them on the site however backordered for a long time.

I searched the site here as well but not finding much in terms of where to go for replacement parts other than the More 4 Mini site I mentioned.

Any ideas you might have to offer would be really appreciated.

Call Segway. They should have them. Furthermore, they should have an idea what is wrong with the pack based on the LED lights (BMC, motherboard, or just dead cells).

The batteries in the pack are easily replaced by battery shops that offer aftermarket batteries for various devices like cordless drills and laptops. The batteries are common LG batteries of the 18650 type used in laptops. You can even have higher capacity batteries, or a different name brand, installed.

The battery shop just needs to be able to arch weld nickle strips to connect the batteries. An electronic repair shop might also be able to set you up.

Some kid overseas doubled the range on the minipro by having high end (high capacity and discharge rate, $$) 18650 cells installed.

Get in touch with MTO, they rebuilt my i2 batteries. Maybe they can rebuild yours.
