Taking Segways MiniPro/Lite on buses
 

Hi all,
I'm considering buying a Segway Minipro and was wondering if anyone had any experience taking them on a "between cities" bus (that is a high bus with a full complement of row seats without large open spaces like some in-city buses).

From eyeballing the Segway it seems like it shouldn't be a problem to take it on the bus and put it under my legs without disturbing the passenger seating next to me.
This is the main condition I have for buying the Segway as I don't want to store it in the bus storage which could easily be stolen from. (otherwise I would have gotten a scooter which is faster).

The kneebar comes off so it is pretty compact. However, the wheels and fender make the unit 10.5 inches tall and 21 inches wide without the kneebar.

If that doesn't fit under the seat, you might be better off with a backpack dufflebag that the unit could be fitted into while in the bus storage. Still a theft problem but it wouldn't attract attention.
