Aluminum plate came off bottom of mat

I have several Segway i2 and X2 that have had the aluminum plate under the mat come off the bottom of mat. I'm going to epoxy them back onto bottom of mat, will be metal to metal. Any thoughts or ideas?

Very easy quick fix is contact cement!....You will be shocked how long it will last.
