Search timeouts.

Running into timeout problems on the search page today. I tried several (search entire message) queries using keywords as the criteria, and they all returned the following:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e31'
Timeout expired
/forum/adv_search.asp, line 545

We're in the middle of some major server maintenance... I apologize for the trouble. This should be resolved in a day or so.

Some day I'll have to find out how the Forum evolved. Do you really write all the ASP yourself?

Try the searches now.. It seems to be running a little better.

About how this site works..

I use a great ASP forum application called SNITZ Forums (forum.snitz.com). It's easy to install.. highly configurable..

What I like best about it is that there is *great* support out there.. and folks come up with interesting addons (mods) all the time. I've added some ASP code here and there - like the Segway HT owner search, for example.
