Cost of living within your community?

Too bad about the more restrictive state statutes.

Sorry, but it makes me that much more proud and pleased to be a Florida resident with its better-crafted EPAMD laws. Even better, our climate allows for near all-year gliding!

Clearwater is actually a model community for gliding, too, with its active programs to "streetscape" Cleveland street (which includes very wide sidewalks); upgrading curbings and crosswalks to ADA standards; and its fully embracing via city ordinance the state's Uniform Traffic Code which contains the EPAMD statutes.

Speaking of climate, I'm curious how often you find yourself running your A/C, and what impact that has on both your electricity bill and your carbon footprint.

Sorry, this comment is too far off topic.

I just thought while you were celebrating your community you could share some of the costs of living there. I don't have to run my A/C at all ever to be comfortable in my own home, however I cannot take my segway on the bus. I'm just trying to make a comparison. If you only want this topic to be about gliding with your grandson, you should request to have it locked since the subject has already changed.

Well done, well said.

Isn't interesting how we all learn, even and maybe especially when we teach.

I am of the opinion that you were not familiar with the details of bus travel in your community, and now you are...

Both of you get to learn new stuff.

Apparently I have the ability to split threads. So now that you both have posted in my thread, why don't you stay on topic? :)

No thanks, I think I'll just split (leave) your thread.
