Segway Comfort Mat

Segway Comfort Mat If you're going to ride your Segway on a regular basis for any significant length of time, say longer than 20 minutes, then you're absolutely going to want a set of these. Honestly, I don't understand why they're optional. They ought to be standard. |
It adds some comfort to long glides, but it's not a miracle and doesn't take the place of a suspension system.

I2 Comfort Mats are great looking
Better than the old Gen One, and works great. Cleans easy too

Definitely more comfortable for longer rides. I'm really glad I have mine.

I have no problem with the comfort mats, I like them, and think they are good to have...
But I had made others before they came out which did the same job or even better, and cost pennies compared to the several dollars these cost. I think they are over priced, as most segway stuff is, but it is not like you can go somewhere else... The quality is top notch, again, a standard for Segways, they do it right generally, but not cheap... I cannot imagine how anyone can call them easy to clean. Mine always have some debris in them... There are too many nooks and crainies. On the gen 1 and on the units I made, they were solid closed cell foam, so there was no place for the dirt to hide... |

By not rating the mats, your N/A's mess up the average (can't figure out the arithmetic). |

Should be all fixed.
Please note that members do not have to leave a comment in order to rate things... So if you just add up comment ratings, you're going to be shy a few. We may turn the requirement on that you must leave a comment in order to rate, just so people can be held to some narrative about their ratings too. |
My Favorite Accessory
I cannot imagine riding my commute without my comfort mats.
They feel great, they integrate nicely with the machine (something I felt previous comfort mats did pretty poorly, as they basically just sat there), and give the machine a cool look. I guess if I had to clean them I'd say that they're hard to clean? I don't know, I try to keep my feet clean in general, not just because I use a PT, but because it makes sense to not track dirt everywhere. Maybe it's because I'm a "city-boy," but I can't remember the last time I walked extensively on a surface that wasn't man-made. |
Not Easy to Clean...
I use my I2 on the golf course and one thing I found is that a lot of grass collects on the comfort mats and is not always so easy to get out.... Does not stop me from using the mats, but it's a good thing to know up front.
