ES4 board design change?
 

Sent my ES4 in for warranty repair after getting the headlight slowdown followed by an error 18. Was told that my scooter was unrepairable and that ninebot was sending me a new one.

Does anyone know if they have solved the resistor issue or are they still replacing failed units with ones of the same design?

There's a guy on YouTube that shows how to permanently solve the issue yourself. It takes a lot of work to dismantle to get to the circuit board, but it's a very, very simple fix... which I'm not sure why Ninebot doesn't do themselves? I'm at sure if I'm allowed to post links bit if you search YouTube you'll find a complete tutorial on how to permanently fix the issue (by simly adding some solder to bridge/cover a resister. I've not done it yet because I haven't had the issue, but I'll probably do it when the time comes.
