Dean Kamen in the newest Discovery Channel ad
 

The Discovery Channel has a series of TV commercials touting the slogan "The World is Just Awesome"; well, last night I was watching Discovery and saw the newest commercial featured none other than Dean Kamen on his p133 in addition to several FIRST robots. At approx. 25 seconds Kamen comes in.

I wish you could still get the smaller units. I would love to have a smaller machine with lean steer.

You and me both. Back in Indy I was talking with DrMarty and he said he was threatening to remove the gearboxes and wheels from an i2 and replace them with some from a p133, but seeing as we haven't heard anything about it I can only assume it didn't work.

I've only seen him ride a segway other than a p133 a few times, and in all instances he looked a little uncomfortable.

Some thing about the p133 screams fun .... I think I like my p more (but don't let the other segs hear that...)

when dean gave his talk in STL at out science center (which dose segway rentals) when he came on to stage they gave him a "glided escort" and every one was on an 12 except dean who road a old beat up i180 that the science center had

My guess would be that the science center was using his introduction as a chance to showcase their fleet.
