XT won't power up...
I have an XT that I've enjoyed very much and have had absolutely no problems with it.
It has been stored for the last two months, plugged in, and indoors. I went to power up today and when the key is applied, it beeps once and then nothing. The battery indicator displays intermitant green flashing, which I always thought was an appropiate display for fully charged batteries. I removed the batteries (Li-ion) and checked the voltages; one is a 77.2 volts, the other at 8 volts. Both are the same age... Is it possible to have one bad battery?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance! |
Hi,
77 Volts sounds ok, are you sure you measured 8 Volts on the other?...if so get them sent to MTO for a refurb...or try to revive the lower one yourself(READ ABOUT IT FIRST AS IT'S NOT WITHOUT RISK) Hope this helps |
Hi
Where are you located ? Yes, what you describe sadly is a fairly common scenario. Michael www.dgbint.com |
"AHEM"...or other refurb companies...
In my defence there aren't many in the U.K.... My apologies and no offence intended. Ian |
