KICKDOWN.JPG
Kickstand down349 viewsWorks on reasonable slopes. The fiberglass rod flexes as necessary.
KICKOFF.JPG
Close-up372 viewsThe fiberglass rod (from a bike flag) is inserted into a short piece of 1" aluminum rod with two setscrews at right angles, and this pivots on the center screw. The bumper was made from a rubber stopper. The knob was turned from a delrin rod. The spacer plate could be replaced with a couple of round spacers.

For foot operation, the locking notches could be left out, and the shape of the corner and spring tension would determine the force required to toggle the stand up or down.
KICKUP.JPG
Ready to glide366 viewsBy mounting the stand off-center, the stand can be long enough to raise the LSF to a vertical position, resulting in a smaller footprint and a sloped platform that discourages people from stepping on.
ONKICK.JPG
Parked378 viewsWith the kickstand down, the LSF is nearly vertical, for minimum footprint.
