I remember last year there was a big deal made out of the Fathers day deals... does anybody know if it is happening this year? What is the deal? Is LLC feeling generous? Was it effective last year?

I guess we'll have to wait and find out- or get the inside scoop from a dealer.

With demand exceeding supply, I doubt you'll see many deals. Perhaps some dealers will offer a deal on a p series or an i167 to entice buyers to acquire those models instead of the new hotness.

I didnt realize that demand was exceeding supply. I thought there had jusr been a demand to have each dealership have a few XTs and a few 180s in stock... Are they selling well?

Two things you can alway count on from Segway LLC: Claims that sales are going well and announcements regarding shake-ups in managment. DUH indeed.

I can only speak for our location, but we have been very surprised at the sales volumes. We haven't been able to get anywhere near enough machines to satisfy customer demands. It's a nice place to be; more demand than supply, to a point.

We had a bit of a push in stock this past week, but it's moving quickly and I have no sense of when the next is due to arrive. I hope it's soon

As I posted on another thread, the delivery of my machine was bumped by at least two weeks because of that.

If I got it right the battery vendor is supplying at a rate of a 1000 sets a month and the sales are now at about 2,500 units a month.

Although 2500 units a month sounds great, if Segway can only supply 1000 units a month they're in for a big fall...a.) that's not going to keep them in business, and b.) soon they'll be so far behind the waiting period will be a year and people won't wait that long (most won't even wait a couple weeks!-- this is an "on demand" society)

I hope they figure out their supply issue soon--assuming that's accurate.

tpkanaley,
With the price of Segs being as high as they are, they must be grossing at least a $1000.00 profit per machine. At 1000 units a month, thats $1,000,000.00 a month gross profit.
Not too shabby!!!
